From Bayside to Dingley. CopperRock’s Big Move & Expanded Service Areas!

As with the change of the seasons CopperRock too will undergo a transformative journey from 1st September 2023.

For 25 years CopperRock has run it’s Skip Bin Hire and Garden Supplies business as well as the licence to operate Bayside Waste and Recycling Centre from Cheltenham. However, from 1st September 2023 CopperRock will relocate to a new location so the company can expand it’s offering and hand the management of the Waste and Recycling Centre over to Future Recycling Metals.

CopperRock will continue to offer Skip Bin Hire and Garden Supply services under the existing business names of Bayside Skip Bin Hire & JP Garden Supplies.

Whilst we transition to the new location our garden supplies products of Aggregate & Crushed Rocks, Mulches, Sands and Soils will only be available in bags and via delivery only. 

John Mastropaolo Director at CopperRock said “We decided to relocate the business and end the licence for the Waste and Recycling Centre because we recently purchased a new business and needed more room for our large machinery. We feel the move will help us to better service our customers across Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs as our new location affords more space, allowing us to have more skip bins and trucks in operation. Ultimately expanding our service area.”

CopperRocks’ newly acquired business Door 2 Door Bin Hire, will also operate from the new location. Eventually the company plans to operate under one business entity from the new location.

Along with our new location our service area for Skip Bin Hire will expand past our Bayside, Glen Eira and Kingston Councils in Melbourne. We will now also service the Stonnington, Boroondara, Monash and Whitehorse Shire Councils. This means we’ll be able to better service the city and our customers into the future.

Mr Mastropaolo said, “Whilst we don’t envision any delays as with any move we do ask that our customers bear with us as we relocate and work to update our website and social media, removing references to the Waste and Recycling Centre. Although we anticipate this to be a smooth process some items will take time to update.”

Our signage will be updated immediately and will advertise a special for our customers in the first month of our move. Stay tuned and visit the website as we’ll be listing our September Special towards the end of August.

Whilst we’ve expanded our Skip Bin Hire service zones, what you can and cannot put in your skip bin remains the same. If you’re unsure what this includes you can learn more about it here.

Although CopperRock and it’s subsidiaries will be operating from a new location, our process for accounts, pickup and drop of will remain unchanged. You can learn more about our skip bin process here.
